Last weekend I hosted a reading at Bar on A in the East Village for Jonathan Strong, who visited from Rockport, Massachusetts, to read selections from his latest novel More Light, which was recently published by Quale Press. I’ve known Jonathan for over ten years, when he was my creative writing teacher at Tufts, one of my favorite professors during my years there. Many of Jonathan’s former students from his three decades of teaching at Tufts came out for the reading to listen to excerpts from the novel, which tells the story of a brother and a sister taking care of their aging parents in Illinois.
